Floyd Lavine is an ‘African Nomad’ whose passion for electronic music is deeply rooted in his African heritage. His focus lies on crafting grooves that embody the essence of the African soul.

“My mission and vision are to create a space of love, trust, humility, kindness, and connection. My sets take listeners on a journey into a world of sonic wonderland, filled with fun and love,” Floyd expresses.

Floyd’s curated sets span across genres, from Afro to Techno to Disco, allowing him to explore the boundless beauty of electronic music. Over the past few years, he has travelled the world, captivating crowds at renowned festivals and revered dancefloors.

With releases and remixes on legendary labels like Innervisions and Ninja Tune, Floyd has skilfully reimagined tracks from artists such as Kerri Chandler to Coldcut.

In 2021, Floyd embarked on his latest project, ‘Afrikan Tales.’ This boutique label is dedicated to showcasing bespoke music and highlighting artists from the African continent, as well as those around the world who draw inspiration from the rich African culture.
